Initially, I was given an apartment through Immendo, but I wasn't at all happy with it when I received the keys. However, the team went to great lengths that same day and quickly organized a new apartment for me. I was really happy with this one. So, all in all, a difficult start, but a very happy ending – definitely recommended!

The women at Immendo are always very professional, they respond quickly to inquiries, call back promptly, and are exceptionally friendly. These people were incredibly unprofessional. Barbara Frei started an unnecessary discussion when I wanted to ask for advice. She twisted the conversation so that instead of helping, she created a new problem. The whole thing became personal, and I told her directly that she was very arrogant.

For anyone who is looking for a furnished apartment, they offer a wide range of properties at different price points. I was able to find a rental in less than a week. The moment I contacted them, they replied really fast and were very helpful with attending me to find the right rental for me. Also, they offer rentals for a short period of time, which is very hard to find in other platforms. For all students like me whose German is not very good and are looking for a temporary rental, I highly recommend.

I seem to have had very bad luck with the reviews here. I'll briefly summarize my experience.
Background: I'm starting a new job in a new city on August 1st, 2024, and wanted to rent an apartment from Immendo for six months in the €600-700 price range. I had already found an apartment that, according to the listing, should be available from August 1st, 2024.
First call: A friendly woman informed me, after learning about my job title, that the apartment I wanted was unfortunately already rented, but offered me an alternative for €850. After I explained that my budget was a maximum of €700 and that I would be willing to accept a longer commute, she suggested an apartment for €950, only 11 minutes away. I ended the call because I felt I was being scammed.
Second call: After finding two more apartments within my price range, I called again. A very nice lady told me she first had to check with the landlords whether the current tenant would renew their lease. She still asked me to submit my documents, including my employment contract. Up to that point, everything was fine.
Third call: After the weekend, a third person called me and informed me that both apartments were still occupied by the current tenants, but offered me another apartment just 11 minutes from my workplace. The price: just under €1000. When I asked why apartments were constantly being advertised for a specific date, only to then supposedly no longer be available, and why I was being offered more expensive apartments instead, the woman replied in a de-escalating manner that she couldn't do anything about it if the current tenant extended their lease. When I again stated my budget of €650, she promised to send me suggestions should anything become available in that price range. That was the day before yesterday.
And finally ...
In my future work environment, according to immendo.de, 13 apartments up to €650 are available from August 1st, 2024. However, immendo.de has not provided any notification regarding this. Incidentally, there are still apartments listed that I would have liked to move into. The company should include "expected to be available from..." in future listings to avoid misunderstandings. It seems they are trying to get rid of more expensive apartments and persuade people to sign a more expensive lease.
Luckily, there are alternatives: I found an apartment, one phone call, one email, signed the lease, everything done. All within three hours.
